This is a list of the most frequently asked questions of the bookstore staff. If you need additional information please reach out to the bookstore directly. Click each question to reveal the answer.

    The Century College Bookstore is located on West Campus, first floor, room W1320. We have multiple directional signs up at the main entrance with directional arrows as well as the below video for your reference.

    The Century College Bookstore is now fully reopened! We do, however, have strict guidelines in place to protect our staff and customers during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Students and Customers are required to wear a face mask at all times while in the bookstore. Pin-pads and countertops are sanitized multiple times daily to ensure everyone has a safe and easy check-out.
    Yes! We now have an automated locker system just outside the Library! When choosing your shipping method simply choose "East Campus Locker" and when your order is processed we will deliver it to the locker and you will get a notification with your pick-up code. Please note, all locker deliveries will only be held a maximum of 48 hours. After the 48 hours you must pick-up your order from the Bookstore on West Campus.
    Yes! You can pick up your orders in-store or have them shipped directly to you. To learn how to order your textbooks online watch the below video!
    The Bookstore accepts a wide variety of payment forms. We accept all standard payments such as Cash, Checks with a valid student ID, and Most Major Credit and Debit cards except American Express. We also accept Financial aid Vouchers, 3rd Party Payments, Purchase orders, and Bookstore Promissory notes.     Your class schedule is required to ensure that you receive the correct course materials. The textbooks are organized in the Bookstore according to Department, Course Number, Section and your Professor's Last Name. Each specific course has a shelf tag that corresponds to which textbooks are required, recommended, or optional for the class. Each textbook listed will be above its shelf tag. Bookstore staff members are always available for assistance.

    YES! If used textbooks are available, they will be located on the shelves along with the new texts. They can be identified by the"Used" stickers on the spine of the books, PLEASE NOTE: Not all textbooks will be available as Used

    YES! If rental textbooks are available, they will be located on the shelves and can be used or new additions. They will be identified by the “Rent It" stickers on the book shelf label. PLEASE NOTE: Not all textbooks are available to rent.

    A valid Student ID is required for rentals.

    A valid credit card with an expiration date outside of the rental return due date is required for all rentals.

    A current email address is required for rentals.

    Your instructor does not require that you purchase any textbooks or materials in the bookstore for their class.
    Your instructor has decided to deliver your materials either directly or though the D2L Brightspace web application.

    Yes, you can opt-out of and get refunded your class fee for the D2L Brightspace textbook by logging in and navigating to the course materials page and clicking opt-out.

    Please speak with your instructor first before doing so as some D2L materials include tests and quizzes that the instructor will use during class. You have until the add/drop date of each term to opt-out

    If you decide to opt out the bookstore may be able to place a special order for the requested titles - please come in and let us know what you need!

    Your Financial Aid Voucher does not cover all items that the bookstore sells. If you entered a credit or debit card with your voucher information at checkout - anything not covered by your voucher, gifts/clothing/trade books, will be processed via your credit card.
    All orders will show up as a ‘pending transaction’ on your credit card account as soon as the order is placed. When the order has been processed it will become a ‘posted transaction’ and will reflect any monetary changes to the order. Monetary changes occur when you request to allow us to substitute a new book for a used version and vice versa.
    Online orders are processed in the order in which they are received. You will be notified via e-mail to the address you supply when the order has reached our system and is pending. You will be further notified, via e-mail, when the order is ready for pick-up. You will receive an e-mail when the order has been processed and is ready for pick-up. Books that are ready for pick-up must be picked up within 2 weeks.

    The earlier you order, the better! Depending on when you placed your order, it may take up to 2-3 days for us to receive your request as we only process orders Monday-Friday. State and Federal holidays will also effect our ability to process your order in a timely manner. Your order is filled from the same stock we have out on our sales floor. If it's crowded inside, it will take us longer to fill orders. All orders are processed one at a time to ensure you are getting exactly what you ordered.

    At the beginnings of each semester, please allow 2-3 business days for us to receive, compile, and process your order. You will be notified via email when your order is ready for pick up or when we ship your order.

    An e-mail will be sent the moment your order has been processed and is automatically sent to the e-mail address provided when you placed your order. Please remember to check your ‘spam’ or ‘junk’ folders within your e-mail as order confirmations can end up there.
    Orders to be shipped are sent out via FedEx to the mailing address specified, typically the morning after the order is processed. All FedEx Ground/Home Delivery shipments should arrive at their destination within 3-5 business days. All FedEx Express shipments should arrive at their destination within 2 business days.
    If some of the textbooks for your class(es) are not in stock, we will automatically place them on ‘backorder’ for you. You will only be charged for the textbooks that are in stock when your order is initially processed. When backordered texts are received, we will then charge your account for the backordered books and send another reminder via email to let you know your order had been completed.
    Not all textbooks are available in used condition. New editions of textbooks have not had the chance to be used". Certain study guides and course specific workbooks are put together by the college and are meant fora one-time use. If a Used copy of the text is not available, we will fill the order with a New copy provided that ‘Used Preferred’ is selected within the order. If a student selects ‘Used Only’ and used textbooks aren't available _ that title will be cancelled off the order.
    YES! As of the spring 2021 semester the bookstore has updated our website to allow for PSEO students to order their textbooks. Students who wish to have their items shipped will be required to pay for shipping out of pocket. Please visit the PSEO page for more details.
